This Extension resource illustrates how Spirion’s Sensitive Data Manager can be utilized to effectively categorize files containing sensitive information within Google Drive, as part of your Google Workspace environment.  

These categorization labels can be assigned either manually by users or automatically through Google Workspace Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules. However, opting for a programmatic approach via the Drive API provides a streamlined way to align with comprehensive security and privacy protocols, which extends to permissions granted to both internal and external accounts.  

This approach enhances data governance and security, ensuring that sensitive information is appropriately managed and safeguarded.
